Privacy policy

This policy covers the Plaloca app for Android and Windows and this website. Plaloca is made by the Plaloca developer (“we”). In short: Plaloca has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your games, saves and translations stay on your device.

What stays on your device

• Your games. Plaloca reads games from the folders you choose. It never uploads game files and never changes them.
• Your library, saves, settings and translation files. These are stored in Plaloca’s own storage on your device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. When you export saves or translation files, they go only where you choose to save them.

What Plaloca sends over the internet

Update check. When you open Plaloca and before you start a game, the app asks our server (api.plaloca.app) for the newest version number. Plaloca needs this check to work: if a newer version exists, or the server can’t be reached, the app asks you to update or to connect to the internet. The request contains only:

• which app it is (Plaloca) and the platform (Android or Windows);
• the technical details that every internet request carries, such as your IP address, and on Android the user agent of the system (Android version and device model).

It does not contain your name, an account, a device ID, your games or your saves. Our server answers with the newest version number and does not store anything about the request. The server runs on Cloudflare, which handles the connection and may keep limited technical logs for security and operation as described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Links you open. Some buttons open a web page in your browser, for example the download page for a new version or the official RPG Maker RTP page. Those websites have their own privacy policies.

Things outside Plaloca’s control

• The games themselves. Games are made by third parties. A game’s own code may connect to the internet in the same way it would when played without Plaloca. Plaloca does not add anything to those connections.
• Android System WebView. On Android, games and the app pages are shown with Android System WebView, which may use Google services such as Safe Browsing under Google’s own policies.

What we don’t do

• We don’t sell, rent or share personal data.
• We don’t show ads and don’t use analytics or tracking tools in the app or on this website.
• We don’t use cookies on this website.

If this ever changes (for example ads or optional usage statistics), we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent.

Children

Plaloca is not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act or the EU GDPR), you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. Because Plaloca doesn’t store personal data on our side, we usually have nothing to give or delete, but you are always welcome to ask.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
